This week I attended the Scrum Manager certification course, which offers us the benefits of the Agile Project Development Methodology based on a new approach that is focusing on provide customer value in each deliverable to be released, unlike the predictive methodologies that focus on identify clearly project management processes constrained by time, scope and costs variables projects.
The Scrum methodology is strongly based in the great level of communication between customer and the project team who look for identify clearly the requiements of the customer and produce small chunks of the functionalities with great quality so due this this project methodology is named Agile because is fast in produce results following higher quality standards rather than to follow schedules or scopes becuase the IT team has to cope with the changing environment for add value to the customers.
The Scrum methodology follows the Agile Manifesto:

Bye.
In my understanding, Linus created a distributed model to develop applications with his colleages (developers) over internet, this model was named Linux Development Model unlike the Scrum methodology which it's a complete framework to manage the software project development or more the life cycle of the software. This is a big difference that I see.
ReplyDeleteWe shouldn't forget that model like Linus created were an answer to how manage a big number of developers over internet related by his interest in a common project.
